Chidozie Awaziem, a Nigerian defender, has joined the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer (MLS).

The Nigerian was acquired by the Colorado Rapids from FC Cincinnati, another Major League Soccer team.

The center-back agreed to a one-year deal with a two-year option.

FC Cincinnati only had the 27-year-old on their roster for one season.

Awaziem made 14 appearances for the team in all competitions and contributed three assists.

He traveled with Niger to Cote d’Ivoire for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
