Daniel Dubois is set to defend his IBF heavyweight world title against former champion Joseph Parker on February 22, according to reports from Sky Sports.
Dubois earned the IBF Interim title in June after defeating Filip Hrgovic and was later elevated to full world champion when Oleksandr Usyk’s anticipated rematch with Tyson Fury, scheduled for December 21, led to Fury vacating the IBF belt.
Building on his rise, Dubois solidified his reign in September with a stunning fifth-round knockout of Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium.
His challenger, Joseph Parker, brings a wealth of experience as a former world champion and a fighter on a resurgence. Parker has made a compelling case for another title shot with an impressive string of wins, including a significant upset against former WBC champion Deontay Wilder and a victory over Zhilei Zhang to claim the WBO Interim title.
The February showdown promises to be a high-stakes clash between two heavyweight contenders with everything to prove.
