Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has emphasized the need for his team to quickly move past their disappointing 4-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Iwobi had given the Whites an early lead with a brilliant curling effort in the 20th minute, but Wolves mounted a comeback with goals from Matheus Cunha (two), Joao Gomes, and Goncalo Guedes.
Reflecting on the game, the 28-year-old noted the team’s inability to maintain control after conceding.
“That’s how goals change games and give opponents confidence,” Iwobi told the club’s official website. “Even though they scored, we need to stay composed and calm, no matter what. Unfortunately, we struggled to dominate as we did earlier, so credit to them. But we’ll focus on improving ourselves.”
Fulham will aim for redemption when they face London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in their next Premier League fixture on Sunday.
