The late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, will be laid to rest in Abuja on Friday. His elder brother, Moshood Lagbaja, shared this during a condolence visit from the St. Charles Grammar School Osogbo Old Boys Association (SCOBA) in Osogbo, Osun State. He explained that, while the military cannot release the remains to the family, they assured him of a dignified military burial in Abuja.
The SCOBA delegation, led by 1st Vice President Engineer Adesina Salami, delivered a condolence letter from the Global President of SCOBA, Tade Adekunle, and General Secretary, Leye Odetoyinbo. Salami spoke fondly of Lt. Gen. Lagbaja, honoring him as a proud Charlean and a distinguished military leader.
"We mourn the loss of an exceptional individual, a proud Charlean, and a dedicated military leader who served our nation with unwavering commitment," Salami expressed. "Lt. Gen. Lagbaja’s remarkable life, selfless service, and enduring legacy inspire us all. He made an unforgettable impact on the Charlean family worldwide."
Salami offered words of comfort to the family, praying for God’s peace and strength during this challenging time. "May the cherished memories of Lt. Gen. Lagbaja’s love, wisdom, and accomplishments bring solace to your hearts, and may his exemplary life continue to inspire future generations."
