Former Manchester United and Real Madrid defender, Raphael Varane, has been appointed as a new board member for Serie A club, Como.
The news was revealed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a tweet on his X account on Saturday. Romano tweeted, “Raphael Varane has been appointed as a new board member for Como, all signed. The decision has been confirmed after his retirement.”
Varane’s new role comes shortly after his retirement from professional football in September, following an injury-plagued spell at the Italian club. The Frenchman decided to call time on his illustrious career after facing persistent injury challenges at Como.
