Nigerian actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has called for a new generation of leaders to emerge in the 2027 elections, urging prominent political figures like President Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi, and Atiku Abubakar to step aside.
In a statement, Okonkwo emphasized the importance of bringing fresh faces into Nigeria's political landscape, arguing that the country needs new ideas and perspectives to address its challenges. He noted that while Tinubu, Obi, and Atiku have made significant contributions to the nation, it is time for them to make way for younger, innovative leaders.
"We must look beyond the usual suspects and give room for new leadership to emerge in 2027," Okonkwo stated. "Nigeria is at a critical juncture, and we need leaders who can bring fresh energy and new ideas to the table."
Okonkwo's remarks reflect a growing sentiment among some Nigerians who believe that the country’s leadership should evolve to include younger, more dynamic individuals capable of driving the nation forward.
