Nottingham Forest have signed Portugal international Jota Silva from Portuguese top-flight club Vitoria on a four-year deal. The 25-year-old forward netted 15 goals in 42 matches for Vitoria last season, earning him his first international call-up from Portugal manager Roberto Martinez in March, leading to his first two caps.
Forest, who finished 17th in the Premier League last season, just six points above the relegation zone, have been active in strengthening their squad this summer. In addition to Silva, they have signed Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic and Newcastle United’s Elliot Anderson to bolster their midfield.
Marko Stamenic, a defender from Partizan Belgrade, has also joined the club and has been loaned to Olympiacos, while goalkeeper Carlos Miguel has arrived from Brazilian club Corinthians.
