President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack who hails from Bayelsa State in the South-South region of Nigeria as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF), effective from August 14, 2024. The announcement was made in a statement by Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale on Wednesday night.
Mrs. Walson-Jack, who was appointed as Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017 and has served in various Ministries, will succeed Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, the current HoCSF who is set to retire on August 13, 2024.
In his statement, President Tinubu expressed gratitude to Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan for her leadership and called on Mrs. Walson-Jack to execute her duties with innovation, integrity, and strict adherence to the established rules and regulations of the Civil Service of the Federation.
