In an official statement, Inter Miami stated, "After a medical evaluation presented by Baptist Health, it has been determined that Leo Messi has sustained a ligament injury in his right ankle. The captain's availability will depend on ongoing assessments and the progress of his recovery."
Despite Messi's absence, Inter Miami has performed admirably, winning five out of six matches. Messi, who has had a stellar season in Major League Soccer with 12 goals and nine assists in 12 appearances, will now focus on rehabilitation while the team continues to strive for success in his absence.
