Leny Yoro is heading to the UK for a medical and to finalize personal terms as Manchester United aims to secure the highly sought-after center-back from Lille.
The clubs agreed on an initial €62 million (£52m; $67.9m) fee last week, but Yoro still needed to agree to the move. Initially preferring Real Madrid, Yoro shifted his stance as Madrid showed no interest in meeting the agreed fee between United and Lille.
Lille, keen to avoid losing him for free when his contract expires in June 2025, favored a deal with United. The 18-year-old French youth international has warmed to the idea of moving to Old Trafford, marking significant progress in the transfer.
If finalized, United will secure their primary defensive target, a player widely regarded as a generational talent.
