According to Fabrizio Romano, Khéphren Thuram is set to undergo his medical with Juventus on Tuesday, finalizing his move to the Serie A club. The transfer of the 23-year-old OGC Nice midfielder is nearly complete, with only formalities remaining.
Thuram had initially been selected to participate in this summer’s Olympics, but Thierry Henry revealed last week that he had been dropped from the squad at the request of Juventus. With all agreements in place, Thuram will sign a five-year contract with Juventus. Nice will receive around €20 million for the midfielder, plus an additional €5 million in add-ons.
The final step for Thuram is the medical examination, which Romano reports will take place on Tuesday. Thuram is expected to arrive in Turin shortly to complete the move.
Nice has already secured Thuram’s replacement, signing Tanguy Ndombélé on a free transfer following the termination of his contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
