Kylian Mbappe resumed training with the French national team on Wednesday after sustaining a nose injury during France’s Euro 2024 opening match against Austria. The 25-year-old forward was observed wearing a protective bandage during the session.
Initially training alone, his availability for France’s upcoming match against the Netherlands in Leipzig on Friday remains uncertain. The French Football Federation (FFF) indicated an update on Mbappe’s fitness would be provided later on Wednesday.

Mbappe suffered the injury following a collision with Austrian defender Kevin Danso during an aerial challenge. He was subsequently substituted and diagnosed with the injury at a hospital in Dusseldorf before rejoining his teammates at the training camp. To facilitate his recovery, the FFF announced plans to provide Mbappe with a protective mask.
During the Austria match, Mbappe received a booking for re-entering the pitch and sitting down, leading to a brief stoppage of play. Kevin Danso, aged 25, conveyed his apologies and wished Mbappe a swift recovery on a social media platform following the match.
