Over a hundred hoodlums attacked Ipaja Police Station on Monday, leading to a violent confrontation with police officers.

Reports indicate that the clash resulted in a gun battle, during which several of the attackers were injured. The incident instilled fear among residents as the exchange of gunfire continued for some time.

When contacted, the state police public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident.

Hundeyin said the situation has been curtailed.

He said, “The situation has been curtailed, but no arrest has been made yet.”
