A tragic incident unfolded at a nightclub in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, on Monday night, as one individual was feared dead following a confrontation among students from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH). The altercation stemmed from a misunderstanding between two groups of students who were gathered at the popular venue to celebrate the institution's convocation ceremony.

As tensions escalated, the club owner sought police assistance to quell the disturbance. Unfortunately, the situation turned violent, resulting in one person being feared dead and several others sustaining injuries, as reported by eyewitnesses.

Details regarding the circumstances of the student's death remain unclear. The deceased's body has been transferred to the Ogbomosho Police Area Command for further investigation and handling.
