Chelsea may face the absence of Cole Palmer in their upcoming away match against Premier League leaders Arsenal on Tuesday. Pochettino informed reporters on Monday that Palmer is struggling to recover from illness, casting doubt on his availability for the game.

Pochettino stated, "Today, no (he cannot play). We will see tomorrow morning. Today, I don’t believe he can be involved. Even if he is good tomorrow, maybe he is not in a condition to play. We hope he can recover from this situation and be involved with the team."

Palmer, who featured in Saturday’s 1-0 FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester City, has been a standout performer for Chelsea, being the joint-top scorer in the Premier League this season with 20 goals, alongside City’s Erling Haaland. His potential absence would be a setback for Chelsea as they aim to maintain their hopes of European qualification, while it could provide Arsenal with a significant advantage in their title pursuit, aiming to claim it for the first time in two decades.

In addition to Palmer's uncertainty, defenders Malo Gusto and Ben Chilwell are also doubtful for the Emirates clash. Chelsea currently sit in ninth place in the league standings with 47 points from 31 matches, trailing seventh-placed Manchester United by three points but with a game in hand.
