The embattled leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has alleged that government officials are profiting from the prevalent insecurity in the South-East.
Kanu made this known after he was denied bail by Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The IPOB leader, who spoke after the court proceedings, said peace will be restored in the region if he is released from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Speaking earlier during the court proceedings, Kanu urged the court to send him to Kuje prison.
