Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has attributed Nigeria's economic challenges to President Bola Tinubu.
The People's Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election made this assertion on his official platform, suggesting that Tinubu should take cues from Argentina’s President, Javier Milei, on swiftly restoring investor confidence despite inheriting a troubled economy.
Atiku criticized the tendency to blame the opposition and previous administrations, emphasizing that Tinubu's reforms were hastily crafted without thorough evaluation.
Nigerians continue to grapple with economic hardships, marked by soaring inflation rates and a high cost of living. In January, Nigeria's headline inflation reached 29.90%, with food inflation standing at 35.42%, as reported by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
