Governor Siminalayi Fubara celebrated the achievements of Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, and the Rivers Hoopers at the Rivers State Government House. During the ceremony, Governor Fubara announced a generous cash gift of N20 million to Nwabali for his outstanding performance, along with a nomination for the Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State (DSSRS).
In recognition of the Super Eagles' efforts at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, the entire crew, including Coach Jose Peseiro and Finidi George, received a commendable cash reward of N30 million. Additionally, for clinching the National Basketball League title, Rivers Hoopers were gifted N50 million.
Governor Fubara praised Stanley Nwabali's exceptional goalkeeping skills and the team's success, emphasizing the state's commitment to encouraging and supporting achievements that bring pride to Nigeria.
