Nigerian artist Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, widely known as Peruzzi, has revealed that he may not collaborate with his fellow musician, Kizz Daniel, in the future.
According to Peruzzi, their collaboration on a song titled 'Gwagwalada' took an unexpected turn when Kizz Daniel gave the track to another artist, BNXN, formerly known as Buju.
Peruzzi expressed his disappointment, explaining that he had not been consulted before Kizz Daniel released the song with BNXN and Seyi Vibez. Speaking on a recent podcast, Peruzzi shared the details of the collaboration gone awry.
He recounted how he approached Kizz Daniel for a collaboration, and during the session, they worked on 'Gwagwalada.' However, things turned unexpectedly when Kizz Daniel involved Buju in the decision-making process. Peruzzi was surprised to learn that the song had been released without communicating with him.
In light of this incident, Peruzzi expressed hesitance about working with Kizz Daniel shortly. He stated, "So, I don’t think I will be working with Kizz Daniel soon. Right now, I don’t think so." The episode sheds light on artists' challenges in the music industry, particularly regarding collaboration and song ownership.
