The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, has said that the Federal Government has dedicated 10% of its various social interventions to supporting persons with disabilities (PwDs), in Nigeria.
EDU said this while inaugurating various empowerment programs sponsored by the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) in Abuja.
She said President Bola Tinubu had directed that the disability community should be prioritized in all government intervention programs.
The Minister also announced government empowerment for point-of-sale (PoS) machine operators to help them kick-start their businesses.
