Asake has collaborated with Grammy and Academy Award winner H.E.R on a remix of his chart-topping hit tune ‘Lonely At The Top’ to strengthen his dominance of the soundscape.

The remix, which will be released on November 15, 2023, follows the song’s record-breaking chart-topping run in Nigeria, where it broke a new 13-week record as the longest number one song on the TurnTable Top 100.

The inclusion of H.E.R on the remix indicates that Asake hopes to recreate the Nigerian success of ‘Lonely At The Top’ on a global scale.

One of the tracks from Asake’s sophomore album, ‘Work of Art,’ the single discusses the loneliness, emptiness, and skepticism that comes with success. After gaining popularity on TikTok and gradually migrating to other platforms, the tune became an instant fan favorite.

Asake has had a successful 2023, making him one of Afrobeats’ most sought-after performers. Following the release of his sophomore album, the superstar astonished fans by selling out the O2 Arena.

Asake also made history with his latest 2024 Grammy nomination for his smash tune ‘Amapiano’ with Olamide, which was nominated for Best African Song Performance.
