In Abuja, some prominent Nigerians, including high-ranking politicians, have seen their allocated land revoked by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike sanctioned the cancellation of 165 plots of land in various serviced districts of the Federal Capital City due to either a lack of property development or a violation of pertinent regulations.
Notable figures affected by this decision include former presidential candidate Peter Obi, former governors Liyel Imoke and Joshua Dariye, and former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) Kanu Agabi. These 165 plots are located in key areas such as the Central Business District, Maitama; Wuse Zone 2; Jabi; Utako; and Asokoro, among others.
