Authorities have successfully retrieved the body of an unidentified man who leaped into the lagoon near the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge area in Lagos State.

The confirmation came from Amodu Shakiru, the Head of Public Education at the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, on Thursday.

In a brief statement, Shakiru announced, "The body from Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge has been recovered lifeless. Further details will follow shortly." The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, and law enforcement had cordoned off the area.
