On January 24, 2023, in Akure, Nigeria, Philip, a 17-year-old student at Oyemekun Grammar School in Akure, Ondo State, achieved a record of 153 skips while standing motionless.
Philip was motivated by Rasel Islam after seeing a video of his effort to break the record.
On January 24, Rasel Islam of Bangladesh, who had previously held the record with a time of 145 skips in one foot in 30 seconds, was officially surpassed by Solomon.
A world championship invitation for skipping has been extended to Philip.
Four months after the record was broken, the Guinness World Records organization publicly certified his achievement.
Thanks to Gbenga Ezekiel, who was recognized as the world record holder for the most skips on one leg in one minute in February with 265 skips, Nigeria will now possess two rope-skipping Guinness World Records.
