May 25, 2023 ElDee Claims His Late Father Pioneered Internet Access In Nigeria

A startling claim has been made by renowned rapper Lanre Dabiri, also known as ElDee The Don, who claims that his late father pioneered the internet in Nigeria.

He said that his father was instrumental in founding a number of cybercafes and arranging important connections that built the groundwork for internet access throughout the nation.

ElDee revealed the part his father played in bringing the internet to Nigeria in an exclusive interview with Olatunde Owoloye's audio and video show Jahbless, which he hosts.

In his words, "My dad was the person that brought the internet, the very first person that brought the internet to Nigeria. So, he set up pretty much everyone; all the companies and all the first cybercafes that you know. All of those connections come through Popsie."

ElDee's father, who had a thorough grasp of information technology, had an impact on the rapper's love of technology.

Despite his official training in design, he recognized the substantial influence of this family connection to the IT industry.

Former American-Nigerian rapper, singer, and record producer ElDee now resides in the country. He rose to fame as a member of the illustrious group Trybesmen, which he formed in 1998 with fellow rappers KB and Freestyle. He has recorded a total of five solo albums during the course of his career. 46 years old is ElDee.
