Abel Tesfaye, famously known as The Weeknd, has secured his position as the world's most renowned musician.

TMZ reported on Tuesday that the 33-year-old Canadian singer has broken two Guinness World Records - for having the highest number of monthly Spotify listeners at 111.4 million as of 20th March 2023, and being the first artist to achieve 100 million monthly Spotify listeners.

The Weeknd's remarkable success has put him ahead of other popular musicians, with almost 30 million more monthly listeners than the artist in the second position, Miley Cyrus (82.4 million).

The list of artists he outperformed also includes Shakira (81.6 million), Ariana Grande (80.6 million), Taylor Swift (80.2 million), Rihanna (78.5 million), and his closest male competitor, Ed Sheeran (77.5 million).
