Megastars of Nigerian Afrobeats P-Square have declared their intention to release a new album in 2023.
P-Square, one of the most well-known and acclaimed musical bands in Africa, has said that the first product from their reuniting would be published in 2023.
Peter Okoye AKA Mr. PÂ through his Twitter account said they decided strategically not to release a new project in 2022 because they wanted to travel and interact with their fans. He also said that they want to debut the first record from their upcoming second album in 2023.
For more than ten years, P-Square has been one of the most well-known musical groups in Africa. Their music has helped them achieve a large international fan base. The multi-award-winning team came to an end when the twin brothers broke up in 2017 to pursue individual careers.
The brothers reunited in 2021 and announced their reunion as a pair during a performance in December of the same year, during which they expressed regret to their followers for their earlier breakup.
P-Square released the songs "Jaiye" and "Find Somebody" in 2022. Additionally, they had performances abroad and made special guest appearances at Afronation festivals in Ghana and Portugal, where they played nostalgic music.
A new release by the pair, whose music encapsulates several stages in the development of Afrobeats, will be eagerly anticipated by fans.
