Goalkeeper Andre Onana of Cameroon was allegedly kicked out of the country's World Cup team following a heated argument with manager Rigobert Song.
The Inter Milan player is alleged to have argued with his coach Song over the keeper's playing style.
Devis Epassy, who plays for Abha in Saudi Arabia, took his position. The decision was with the decision made only hours before Cameroon's critical World Cup meeting with Serbia in Group G, which they drew 3 - 3.
According to Helena Condis Edo, despite efforts by Cameroon Football Federation head and famed striker Samuel Eto'o to broker peace talks, Onana regards his connection with the squad as "irreversible."
Marca believes the altercation arose when Song yelled at the goalkeeper during practice for taking too many chances with his foot.
The coach wanted him to play more conventionally and was dissatisfied with how the keeper advanced off his line. Later, it was agreed that Onana should quit the team and no longer compete in the competition.
