Nick Carter, a member of the Backstreet Boys, has expressed his sorrow at the passing of his brother Aaron, who passed away on Saturday.
The younger Carter was discovered dead in a bathtub at his Los Angeles residence at the age of 34. Nick expressed his sorrow at Aaron's passing on Twitter on Sunday after the awful occurrence.
The musician shared old pictures of both of his brothers and said that despite their tumultuous relationship, he had always loved his
brother and longed for his sobriety.
“My heart is broken,” he wrote. “Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded.
“I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed.”
Despite the fact that the exact cause of death is unknown, Nick has blamed "addiction and mental disease" in his tweets.
“Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness are the real villains here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you baby brother,” he said.
