Borno state where security operatives have sealed off the headquarters of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP in Maiduguri, Borno State, denying officials access to the office.

The party’s presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso’s media office confirmed the incident in a statement issued by Muyiwa Fatosa.

He added that the party’s Central Senatorial Candidate, Attom Muhammad Maigira was also arrested.

This is coming on the heels of the visit to Borno state by the NNPP national leader and presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to commission the office tomorrow, Saturday 27th August 2022.

The Borno state police spokesman, Jamilu Mohammed also confirmed this development.

The NNPP has however condemned the incident, describing it as “totally unacceptable and has called on the government to wade into the matter.
