In Lagos, another building fall in the Bariga region of the state resulted in the deaths of two children and injuries to three adults of varied degrees.
The structure is situated on Adeleye Street in Ladi Lak, according to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
The people hurt in the building fall, according to Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, permanent secretary of LASEMA, have been brought to hospitals for treatment.
He said that once the agency activated its reaction to the disaster, it arrived at the location and found that two rooms in a cottage next to it were damaged when the tank scaffolding of a two-story building collapsed.
Oke-Osanyintolu said the Agency’s response team alongside Lagos State Fire Service and the Lagos State Building Control Agency, LASBCA were immediately deployed to the scene.
