Damilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess, a Nigerian comedienne and actress, has said that she received death threats after speaking out about her colleague, Olanrewaju Omiyinka a.k.a Baba Ijesha.
Baba Ijesha was arrested and arraigned in the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court last year after being captured on camera in an inappropriate posture with a youngster.
Princess, whose foster child was the case's victim, stated that she received death threats and a reward placed on her life after deciding to take the case on.
This information was revealed in an interview with media figure Chude Jideonwo, which was released late on Thursday after Baba Ijesha's sentencing.
After being found guilty of six counts of child defilement, including sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault by penetration, Baba Ijesha was sentenced on Thursday.
Justice Taiwo Oluwatoyin found the defendant guilty of two of the six counts against him and sentenced him to jail for 16 years, adding that the sentence will run concurrently for five years.
