The world marks International Women’s Day, Nigerian women from different walks of life are out on the streets of Abuja to protest rejected gender bills in the National Assembly.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow,” with a Hash tag BreakingTheBias.
In his message, the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres called for gender quotas that could result in the world benefiting more from women leaders and an effective action to end gender-based violence among other things.
