Nominations for the 94th Academy awards are finally in! The announcement made on Tuesday, February 8, expectedly got the internet buzzing.
Surprising for most was the Lady Gaga snub for her role in Ridley Scott’s ‘House of Gucci’.
Meanwhile, Netflix’s ‘The Power of the Dog’ swept the most nominations with 12 nods including a history making nomination for Jane Campion.
The film’s director became the first woman to be nominated more than once in the best director category. (The first being ‘The Piano’).
Following closely with 10 nominations is ‘Dune’ then ‘Belfast’ and ‘West Side Story’ with seven nominations each.
