Lagos State Government has assured that it will ensure fairness, justice, transparency and equity is played out to resolve the Magodo Phase 2 Land Dispute to ensure a win win situation.
Governor SANWO-OLU stated this during a Stakeholders meeting with Residents of Magodo Phase 2 Estate and members of the police force from office of the Inspector General of Police and Members of Cabinet over Land Grabbling Dispute.
SANWO-OLU said the Committee set up by the state government will begin work soon to identify available plot of lands in Shangisha and allocation will be made in a mutually agreeable location.
Also speaking, the Chairman Shangisha Land Owners, ADEBAYO ADEYIGA said they agreed with the Lagos State Government over his promise to settle the dispute amicably.
While speaking on Inspiration fm, All Out Politics on the standoff between the Governor and the CSP ABIMBOLA OYEWOLE, DIPO OLAYOKUN described the development as sad.
He said that’s one of the reasons why state police will not be allowed to fly in the country.
It would be recalled that armed policemen, who were acting on the instruction of the Attorney-General of the Federation, and the Inspector-General of Police, a fortnight ago had laid a siege in Magodo Phase II Estate following the planned demolition of property in the estate based on a Supreme Court Order.
