Everton have slammed a homophobic chant geared at a Chelsea player during Thursday's match.
The Premier League game finished in a 1-1 draw at At Stamford Bridge.
Everton released a statement saying, "Such behaviour is unacceptable and does not represent the values of our club or wider fanbase,"
Last month, the Toffees were recognized for their efforts to foster an inclusive culture within the club and throughout the Everton community.
Everton continued, "Through our 'All Together Now' campaign, we promote and celebrate diversity and inclusivity within our club, our football, and our community.
"In the future, we expect fans to represent those principles by refraining from discriminatory shouting."
