Liverpool retained their perfect record in the Champions League this season, after defeating Porto at Anfield, on Wednesday.
After recording victories in their first four games, Jurgen Klopp's team had already earned top spot in Group B and a place in the knockout stages. They added three more points against the Portuguese side.
The Reds were not at their best in the first half, and while they were not at full strength in the second, they produced two beautiful goals to secure another victory.
Spanish midfielder Thiago, scored a fantastic long-range goal, darting across the ball and slamming a rasping 25-yard strike into the bottom corner.
Egypt international, Mohamed Salah, darted in from the right and jinked past a defender before blasting home at the near post.
With his strike, Liverpool became the first English team since Wolves in 1939 to score two or more goals in 16 straight games in all competitions.
Klopp rested defender Virgil van Dijk, right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and midfielder Fabinho while also resisting the temptation to start full-back Andrew Robertson and skipper Jordan Henderson, both of whom are returning to full fitness after injuries.
The only form of respite for Porto was that AC Milan secured a late victory at Atletico Madrid, meaning the Portuguese side stay second in the group ahead of their final group game against the Spanish champions, Atletico Madrid.
