Angry youths in their numbers have stormed the Plateau State House of Assembly, to protest the impeachment of the former speaker, Hon. Abok Ayuba Nuhu.

The youth began to converge at the assembly complex in the early hours of the day.

Abok was last week impeached and replaced with Sanda Yakubu, who hails from Pengana constituency of Bassa Local Government Area of the state.

The majority leader of the house, Naanlong Daniel, who led the impeachment, claimed that 16 out of the 24 members of the house signed in favor of his removal.

But Abok was quoted to have denied the number of those that supported his impeachment, adding that his removal was illegal because 2/3 of the members did not sign his impeachment.
