England manager Sarina Wiegman says she is not yet ready to choose a permanent Lionesses captain.
Arsenal defender Leah Williamson captained the side in last month's World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and North Macedonia.
She will lead the side in the next two qualifiers - against Northern Ireland on Saturday and in Latvia on Tuesday.
When asked if she had made a decision on the captaincy going forward, Wiegman said: "I just need that time."
Williamson wore the armband for the first time in the absence of the injured Steph Houghton, who has captained the Lionesses since 2014.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes Wiegman should make her decision public, regardless of injuries.
