March 17, 2021 EFCC  Demands Assets Declaration From Bankers From June One

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has said it will be demanding assets declaration forms from all bankers across the country.

Addressing State House correspondents after a meeting with President MUHAMMADU BUHARI in Abuja, the chairman of the anti-graft agency, ABDULRASHEED BAWA, announced that bankers would be required to present the forms from June 1.

He explained that the commission took the decision as a result of concerns raised on the roles played by bankers in the fight against corruption.

BAWA also lamented that the agency has arrested about 300 cybercriminals across the country between February and March.
