Bandits Kidnap Over 60 People In Zamfara State Despite Assurance From President Buhari That There Will Be No New Kidnap In Nigeria
Despite the assurance from President BUHARI that the kidnap of the Government Girls Secondary School in Jangebe, Zamfara State will be the last in the country, another set of Nigerians are currently in custody of kidnappers.
The latest victims are over 60 women and children kidnapped by the bandits at Gidan Baushe village in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The bandits however, released eight men, who were abducted along with the women.
An eyewitness, Malam RIKWANU ABUBAKAR, said the bandits also set many shops and foodstuffs on fire.
He said the bandits who were moving with their animals came to the village and demanded foodstuffs from the villagers.
But when they realized that the villagers were not ready to heed to their request, they started shooting into the air and the people fled in different directions.
