Nigeria has recorded 5 new deaths and 1,138 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in 20 states and the FCT.
This brings till date, 134, 690 confirmed cases in the country out of which 108, 657 cases have been treated and discharged.
The number of deaths from the deadly virus also increased to 1,618 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The breakdown of the latest new cases shows that Lagos recorded (377), FCT (172), Plateau (86), Kano (84), Edo (60), Osun (47), Nasarawa (41), Imo (40), Rivers (36), Niger (32), Oyo (32), Borno (29).
Others states with fresh infections includes; Kaduna (27), Delta (18), Kwara (17), Cross River (9), Ekiti (8), Bauchi (7), Ogun (7), Sokoto (6) and Bayelsa (3)
