Three residents of Takum town in Taraba State have died following a severe windstorm that struck the area twice in two days.

The first incident was said to have caused extensive damage to residential, commercial, school and office buildings.

A resident said the weather initially brought heavy rainfall, followed by a powerful windstorm that lasted for over an hour and a half.

Elsewhere in Nasarawa state, one person was confirmed killed while several others were injured and no fewer than 150 houses were destroyed in Agbashi community, Doma Local Government Area, following a rainstorm that wreaked havoc in the area.
