Deported 38 Nigerians from Norway, Sweden, Denmark & Finland on their arrival on Thursday at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
In the early hours of Thursday, no less than 38 Nigerians who had been deported from the UK landed in Lagos.
The deportees, who are mostly moms and grandparents, reportedly landed at Ikeja's Murtala Muhammed International Airport, according to Nigerian officials.
They used a Home Office charter airplane, which brought them to Lagos early this morning.
According to information obtained, several deportees were members of LGBTQ communities who had applied for asylum.
Some of the deportees stated they had resided in the UK for a long time.
The expulsion, however, is based on violations of immigration-related offenses, the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the BBC.
The deportees were reportedly thereafter sent to undetermined destinations.
