Nigeria is now close to 6,000 marks of Coronavirus cases as it recorded 338 new infections yesterday in 18 states of the federation.

This brings the total infections in the country to 5,959.

In a tweet on its official handle last night, the NCDC said Lagos had 177 from the new cases, while Kano posted 64.

Other states with new cases include Rivers with 16, Plateau with 14, Oyo 11, Katsina 9, Jigawa and Kaduna with 4 each, and 3 cases from the trio of Abia, Bauchi, Borno and FCT, 21.

Gombe, Akwa Ibom, and Delta states also recorded 2 new cases each, while Kebbi and Sokoto shared two cases between them.

1,594 patients have been discharged while 182 deaths so far recorded in the country.
