Ooni Of Ife’s Wife Queen Naomi Announces The End Of Their Marriage

The wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Queen Silekinola Naomi has taken to social media with an update which has come as a rude shock to Nigerians.

Taking to her Instagram page, the ex-queen thanked God for his faithfulness in the three years she has been married to the king. 

The prophetess said their marriage had been rocky.

Queen Silekunola Naomi has ended her three-year marriage with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II.

She released a statement on Thursday, December 23, 2021 noting that she no longer wants to be known as the 'wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife'.

The prophetess said their marriage had been rocky, suggesting the king had 'side attractions' that were never an issue for her.

She also dismissed allegations that she already had another child before her marriage to the monarch.

"Today I announce the beginning of a new dawn and the close of a chapter. Today, I am a mother to God's unique gift. I am no longer a slave to my thoughts of perfection," she said.

The couple has a baby, Tadenikawo, who was born last year.

Oba Ogunwusi has been married two other times in the past, with both also crashing.

The new music sensation later called out popular dancer Poco Lee for allegedly trying to steal his hit single.

On most streaming platforms, the record is credited to 'Poco Lee X Portable X Olamide.'

The artist expressed his displeasure over the arrangement.

"Poco Lee, I am the one who sees a gun but doesn't shoot. You no show love o. Shey na you get Zazoo ni? Na Olamide bless me o, but you carry my song. You don rip me now. Even if you worked on the song, why is your name first in the credits?" he said.

Police Rescue Baby, Two Adults Abducted By Bandits In Zamfara

Three persons, including a three-month-old baby abducted by bandits in Zamfara State have regained freedom.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, AYUBA ELKANAH, who disclosed this while briefing reporters in Gusau said the victims were abducted from Ruggar Tudu village in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara.

He revealed that the police operatives also arrested three suppliers of hard drugs to bandits, and recovered some items from them.

The items include one motorcycle, eight AK-47 rifles, one General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), one Rocket launcher, and five magazines.

According to him, the police operatives also recovered 69 cows from bandits in the last four months.

Bandits Gun Down 7 Near Military Checkpoint, Abduct Many In Katsina

At least 7 persons have been killed near a military checkpoint in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The bandits behind the attack also abducted many persons, including women and children.

The Deputy Speaker of Katsina State House of Assembly, SHEHU DALHATU TAFOKI, who is the member representing Faskari constituency, said that the incident was one of the four attacks recorded in the area within a week.

The lawmaker said some other persons were also abducted in the attack.

He said just on Tuesday, the bandits killed seven people and abducted five others.

In anger, residents of communities along Funtua-Sheme Road in Katsina State on Wednesday blocked the Funtua-Gusau Road to protest the spate of attacks.
