June 2, 2023 Working At Cross Purposes Will No Longer Be Condoned – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has warned service chiefs that “working at cross purposes will no longer be condoned, demanding security agencies to be on the same page and operate with synergy.

President Tinubu stated this in his maiden official meeting with heads of the nation’s Security and intelligence agencies led by the Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor at the Presidential Villa, Abuja today.

Briefing State House correspondents after the meeting that lasted about two hours , the National Security Adviser, NSA, Retired Major Gen. Babagana Monguno said the President has directed heads of security agencies to come out with their blue prints to tackle insecurity and maintain sanity nationwide.

Monguno also revealed that President Tinubu urged the service chiefs to crush anyone involved in oil theft noting that his administration will not tolerate such menace.

Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor said the security agencies will ensure to uphold the mandate given to them by President Tinubu

Others present at the meeting include Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao; and the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.
