Kano Conjoined Twins Flown To Saudi Arabia For Separation

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSARelief) is set to facilitate a complex surgical separation for a set of conjoined twins from Kano in Nigeria.

In a statement by the Press Attache at the Saudi Arabia embassy in Abuja, Mohammed Alsahabi said the move is being made under the directive of the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz.

The twins, Hassana and Husaina Hassan Isa are joined at the chest and share vital organs, making their separation a medically intricate and challenging procedure.

The statement said KSA Relief, in collaboration with a Saudi team of renowned surgeons and medical professionals, will carry out the surgery, scheduled to take place at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh.
