Tiwa Savage, who has been riding high on her successful 2023 with the release of her hit single 'Stamina' and a notable guest appearance on Sypro's 'Who's Your Guy? ' is temporarily putting the brakes on her music career due to a vocal infection.

In an Instagram post dated October 17, 2023, the award-winning singer revealed that she has been grappling with a vocal virus and, as per her doctors' advice, she needs to take a break from singing. She expressed her situation to her fans, known as "Savage Soldiers," and shared the unfortunate news of the postponement of her upcoming performances.

"To my dear Savage Soldiers, I've been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months. I will unfortunately have to postpone all performances, including my first-ever headline arena show in London. I'm heartbroken and devastated, but I have to do this to save what's left of my voice. I'm so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once I'm fully healed."

Tiwa Savage was all set to make history as the first female Afrobeat artist to headline the Wembley Arena, with her show originally scheduled for November 2023. Regrettably, she has had to postpone this landmark event along with all her other shows, with plans to reschedule them for later.

She humorously begins by clarifying that her advice does not endorse prostitution and emphasises the value of financial independence.

Tiwa emphasises, "I’m not advocating for transactional relationships, nor am I suggesting you pursue a man solely for his wealth. I'm saying there's satisfaction in contributing financially, as I do with my earnings."

She stresses the significance of finding partners who match one's energy levels, citing herself as an example. Tiwa further suggests that while men can still cause heartbreak, it's preferable to endure such pain while surrounded by material comfort.

Tiwa Savage, the acclaimed Nigerian singer, has opened up about her experience battling nervousness during her groundbreaking performance at the coronation of King Charles III, the British monarch.

Being the first Nigerian artist to perform at a British royal event, Tiwa Savage thrilled the audience at the King Charles III's coronation concert and Big Lunch in March.

In a recent appearance on the Good Morning Britain TV Show, Tiwa Savage candidly admitted that she felt nervous in the initial moments of her performance at Windsor Castle. However, she quickly gathered herself and embraced the significance of the moment.

"It was beautiful [to perform for the King]. It was such an amazing moment to represent the Commonwealth and to be on that stage," Tiwa Savage shared.

Acknowledging her nerves, she continued, "I was nervous, I will say the first few seconds. But as soon as I started singing, I said, 'I have to just get swept away by the crowd'."
