In Lagos where the state government has restated its commitment to the safety of residents and maintenance of infrastructure.

The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA, said this while dismissing a viral video that showed four people purportedly pushing one of the train sets to be deployed for passenger operations for the Lagos Rail Mass Transit, Blue Line.

Reacting to the development in a statement, the Consultant, Corporate Communications at LAMATA, Kolawole Ojelabi said the video clip was doctored.

Ojelabi said investigations showed that the train was moving and those purportedly “pushing” the train were behind it. 

Speaking later in an interview with inspiration FM, the Director, Rail Transport, LAMATA, Engineer Olasunkanmi Okusaga stressed that Lagosians should disregard the video.
